Losing weight while breastfeeding

I always get fascinated everytime i saw mothers who haven't shed an extra pounds after giving birth. Because normally when a woman gets pregnant, it is of common thing to gain weight.  Maybe they are just lucky...but on my side, its really a struggle to lose weight. I have read that its just okay to start dieting when the baby is two months old already, but it doesnt imply that you can crash diet, because by doing so it will affect the  milk supply and dehydration takes place.  Losing weight gradually is the most appropriate thing to do, and it is advised that you should not lower your calorie intake to 1800calories a day. Good to know that breastfeeding alone can slowly bring back the weight during pre-pregnancy days, so unconsciously the pounds will just drop little by little.  For breastfeeding mothers like me, its best that before taking any effort to lose weight, its recommended to research first and consult the doctor before doing any drastic measures.
